Love Lake Life

When my husband Jeff and I had been married about 10 years we decided to find a new place to live. Wauconda was not on my radar--after all, I had grown up here and graduated high school with many of the same kids from my kindergarten. I felt like I'd be stepping back into my old footsteps instead of forging new ones.

But then we found a house on Edgewater Parkway (get it, that's why we are called the "Edgewater Team") that overlooks Bangs Lake in Wauconda. The house was not perfect by any stretch, but I began to envision what my life could look like living in lakeside neighborhood.

Long, lazy, sun-filled days, cookouts with neighbors, impromptu boat rides, ice skating, fishing...just living.  And loving it.

It was one of the best decisions we ever made. I've never regretted it.

Just the other day, I had a little fun with the timelapse setting on my GoPro camera and shot this video as the sun was setting over the lake.

Maybe now is time for you live that same kind of life.

If so... you are in luck!  I just listed a home that is about half a block from a private Bangs Lake beach with lake rights.  And unlike my house, this house is actually newer (built in 2003), has an attached 2-car garage, and it has a basement.

The flexible floor plan is great for entertaining with multiple places to hang out including a living room, family room plus a finished "man cave" in the basement. There is a charming bay window for the eat-in kitchen, a cozy fireplace in the family room, and Fixer Upper approved shiplap on the wall in the living room.

Details of the house:

Address:
812 Woodland, Wauconda
Price:
$259,900
Bedrooms:
4
Bathrooms:
2.5
Square footage:
2380 plus finished partial basement
Beach Rights:
"Maiman's II"

Don't miss this rare opportunity to enjoy the lake lake.

You may enjoy seeing what winter looks like on Bangs Lake.  This is an ice fishing derby my husband and I are involved in to benefit a local veteran's organization called Veteran's R&R.  While this video is primarily at the next beach over, it is a great overhead view of the frozen lake.
