Autumn at The Botanic Gardens

Do you love where you live? I do. And, I can help you get to that place. We'll take the hassle out of real estate and do it all with a bit of fun...

The Chicago Botanic Gardens is one of my favorite places in Chicagoland. Actually located in Glencoe, Illinois, it offers year-round beauty and events.  This autumn, take a trip to the gardens for pumpkins and more.

1000 Jack-o-Lanterns

More than 1,000 hand-carved pumpkins—some as large as 150 pounds—will light up the night at our Halloween event. Night of 1,000 Jack-o’-Lanterns takes advantage of the Garden's glorious fall setting, and features only real pumpkins. It's an unforgettable experience.

October 16-20 and October October 23-27

6:30-10:30 PM

Creepy Plants

This is the month for ghosts, goblins, and witches, and for tricks and treats. Some plants, like fragrant roses, certainly provide our noses with a treat. Others can be tricksters, offering up poisonous berries, sharp spines, and stinky scents.

Autumnal Brews

Purchase drinks and snacks such as spiked cider and ale on the Esplanade before you head onto the path. Along the path, stop over at the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden for more hearty seasonal fare and drinks.

Lightscape

long a mile-long path, the night comes alive with color, imagination, and sound, from a playful choir of singing trees to a spectacular waterfall of light.
